Prof. Pierre Kletz Vice President, Mandel Foundation-Israel (Graduates) and Director of the Social Leadership MBA at Ben Gurion University
Prof. Pierre Kletz received his doctorate from HEC School of Management-Paris, and holds accreditation from the Sorbonne to supervise research. He has held the position of Academic Director of the Eastern and Central Europe Centre of HEC and served as special academic advisor to the director-general of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Before joining the Mandel Foundation-Israel he was an associate professor at the University Francois Rabelais (France), where he served as founding director of the Masters of Public Management program. Pierre has published numerous articles about organizational theory in major research journals, and in 2002 received the Award for Excellence for an "outstanding contribution" to the Journal of Management Development.

Dr. Granit Almog-Bareket Director, Mandel Graduate Unit Dr. Granit Almog-Bareket is a graduate of cohort 14 of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership. Granit holds a master’s degree in educational policy and management from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a PhD from the IAE Business Management School at the Sorbonne University. Her thesis focuses on the impact of critical life events on the organizational vision of social and educational entrepreneurs. Granit was a teacher and educator for 14 years, and taught at the Gershon Agron Elementary School in Jerusalem, as well as directing the Special Needs Domain at the Community Services Division in West Jerusalem. She also coordinated the educational policy management program at the Hebrew University's school of education, as well as the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute's education forum. She is the founding director of Healing with Hope, a volunteer-based organization that provides assistance and services to children who are hospitalized for prolonged periods. After completing her studies at the Mandel School for Educational Leadership she joined the Mandel Graduate Unit and was subsequently appointed as Graduate Unit Director. She recently completed her post-doctoral studies at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University in North Carolina.

Prof. Chaim Adler Mandel Graduate Unit Faculty Member, Consultant and Instructor Prof. Chaim Adler is a consultant for the Mandel Graduate Unit and works closely with alumni of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership. He is professor emeritus of sociology and education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he was the founding director of the NCJW Research Institute for Innovation in Education, a position he held for over 20 years. Prof. Adler's main areas of research include education as a factor for social change and youth culture in modern society. In 2006, Prof. Adler received the prestigious Israel Prize for his work and research in education.

Dr. Odette Segal Methodology, Knowledge Development and Evaluation Manager Dr.Odette Segal has a BA in East Asian studies and education and an MA magna cum laude in special education, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her PhD from the school of social work at Tel-Aviv University focuses on the "Predictors of Program Sustainability in the Social Sphere". Odette has extensive experience in research and has participated in a large-scale study regarding school violence. Her experience in the field of education includes teaching children on the autistic spectrum to acquire social skills. Odette specializes in planning and executing evaluation processes in the social field as part of the perception of organizational learning.

Ronen Goffer Development Manager Ronen Goffer is a graduate of cohort 3 of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership. He holds an MSc in physics and a BSc in physics and mathematics, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and where he is currently a PhD student in political science. Ronen has 15 years of professional experience in social and civic activities. He has established and led entrepreneurial initiatives that have involved the establishment of international networks, governmental-civic sector partnerships and fund raising from multiple sources. Among other achievements, Ronen worked to establish KOL-Active, the Israeli Center for Engaging Citizens in Governance, and previously was involved in the establishment of the division for participatory democracy at the Haim Zippori Community Education Center. These initiatives were the first entrepreneurial attempts in Israel to engage citizens in decision-making and governance on a national level, and were aimed at reversing the (worldwide) trend of deteriorating government legitimacy due to citizens’ alienation. They included the import of innovative models of citizens’ participation from Denmark, Holland, the United States and elsewhere. Ronen has published several articles and books in the area of participatory and deliberative democracy. He was the director of the first Van Leer Education Conference and of the International Workshop for Directors-General of Ministries of Education from 10 countries.

Sari Almog Program Coordinator Sari holds a BA in liberal arts and Italian literature from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. As head coordinator of the public relations team at the Student Authority at the Ministry of Absorption, Sari provided information and advice to students interested in studying in Israel. Subsequently Sari was the European project coordinator at the Keren Hayesod United Israel Appeal, managing relations with European donors. Sari later worked as the country coordinator for Moscow, Siberia and the Russian Far East at the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) in Jerusalem. In this capacity, she coordinated multiple welfare and Jewish community renewal projects. As a senior coordinator of the resource development department at the Jewish Agency for Israel, Sari played an integral part in facilitating resource development and fostering productive interplay between Jewish federations, agencies and private donors around the globe and the Jewish Agency. Sari also worked as the resource development director at the Yuri Shtern Foundation, which provides cancer patients and their caregivers with complementary medicine treatment. Sari is currently the Mandel Graduate Unit's program coordinator.
