Working in one area of formal education in Israel as a starting point for research and development in vision; we have chosen the teaching of history, which includes the informal system of history education in Israel as well. Our work in this area includes a conference on The Teaching of History in Israeli Formal and Informal Education; and

Working with the various programs of the Mandel Leadership Institute to include VJEP materials and initiatives in the curriculum of the MLI.

One of the curricular units already produced through the Shevach Moffet demonstration site is an educational unit on the theme of the binding of Isaac in Israeli art. We are happy to provide access to this unit, which includes 108 images, as well as suggestions and instructions for how to use the images in classrooms with programs such as Powerpoint and Windows Picture: עקדת יצחק בראי האמנות . Please note: this material requires a password for access. If you do not have a password and are interested in studying these materials, please contact the project at: visions@mandelschool.org.il .

The VJEP in Israel is co-directed by Dr. Daniel Marom and Yael Bar-Lev. We thank Avi Katzman of the Mandel Foundation Publications Department for his ongoing collaboration with the project.
